Sheepskin Seat Covers on a 1800 Honda Gold Wing

Finally im off vacation :)  Came home with a not so good summer cold :( 
Anyway while on Vac in Myrtle Beach I tried my best to answer questions and take orders.  The house we rented unfortunatly didn't have WIFI so this made things much harder than I anticipated.  I would like to thank Dunkin Doughnuts and TGI Fridays for there free WIFI !!! I don't know what I would have done without them.   I haven't been keeping up with this blog the way I should so here is what Im gonna do.  Im gonna put pictures of my customers sheepskin seat covers before and after pictures.  To start this off Is Ken's 1800 Gold Wing .  He put sheepskin covers on both drivers and passenger seats along with both backrest.  His drivers backrest is a aftermarket backrest - we got the measurements of the backrest and I think it turned out great.

Seat Sheepskin Covers - Im Being Lazy Today !

OK so for a few days Im gonna do a little different posting than usual :)  You all know I love Sheepskin.  I think its one of the best natural products nature has to offer us!

Today I got to reading on some different uses for sheepskin.  I ride a motorcycle and I am fixing to order a sheepskin seat cover from myself for my motorcycle :)~  Why order from someone else when I got them myself right ?   Anyway I was doing some research on how to do different things with the sheepskin, so I could be different. I think I found the solution.   Here is my next product I gonna be putting on my site.  LOL

Ok seriously Im gonna get into the motorcycle side of things.  Im gonna do some testing and see how things go.  If a Sheepskin Cover can handle my all weather bike riding then it can handle anything !

Ive written several articles on this and blogged before about it. It still seems I run into more and more people that think sheepskin has got to be hot. Ive been so excited about the new sheepskin cushion. Its super easy to put on your seat and fits virtually any car seat. Its made of the same commercial grade sheepskin all of our products are made from. So this is the seat cushion that will last a long long time.

Sheepskin Seat Covers vs Sheepskin UGG Boots

Ever sense I first got involved with sheepskin I have been passionate about it. I have tried to get the word out about all of its benefits and comfort, but I found out that there is a big world out there. Its is harder than I thought to get the word out about something. Well then along came sheepskin UGG boots. I thought this is great! Now Im gonna get some help getting the word out. Well this is right and wrong.

Well first of all the UGG boots have gotten the word out about sheepskin. This is a good thing because if people like the sheepskin boots then they are sure to love sheepskin seat covers as well as other sheepskin products.  In fact this is a great thing.  But there is a bad side to this also.

Web page placement.  Wow all of a sudden I am ranked way back in the search engine rankings because of all the sheepskin boot websites!  Well the boots are a seasonal thing so I hope to regain rank soon :)

Sheepskin - Is Sheepskin all its cracked up to be?

Sheepskin has come a long ways in the last few years.  I for one am glad.  Sheepskin has such amazing properties that it is hard to ignore.  Sheepskin used to always look shaggy and kind of fly away.  Now it looks elegant and is so very comfortable.  It doesn't matter if its sheepskin car seat covers, rugs, bed pads, pillows or a host of other things made from sheepskin.  You can't go wrong with Sheepskin.

If you get Sheepskin Seat Covers you are going to want a sheepskin rug.  If you ever feel a sheepskin pillow you are going to want a bunch of sheepskin pillows.  And don't ever lay on a sheepskin bed pad !! Sheepskin Seat Covers - A look at Mosaic Sheepskin Covers

Today I want to tell you about a type of Sheepskin Seat Covers called Mosaic.  Most Sheepskin Seat Covers are made from a solid piece of sheepskin.  Most people like these solid pattern seat covers.  I on the other hand like something else.  They are called Diamond Mosaic Sheepskin Covers. 

Diamond Mosaic Sheepskin Covers are made from small remnants of sheepskin left over when the manufacturer is making something else from sheepskin.  I guess you could say the scraps left over from other products are kept and they make what they call Mosaic Sheepskin product.  What a lot of people don't understand about Mosaic Sheepskin is that these remnants are very high quality pieces that are put together in a uniform Mosaic pattern.  Take a look at the picture to get an Idea of how they look. 

In my opinion these Mosaic covers are just as high quality as the full sheepskin covers.  And here is the best part.  You can usually get  tailor made diamond mosaic sheepskin seat covers for about the same price as some of the ready made sheepskin covers!

Sheepskin Seat Covers - Time, Wear & Tear !

Think about this - You go and purchase a new car.  You finance it usually for 5 years.  You pay for your vehicle for these 5 years then decide if you want to keep it or not. 

Well lets have a financial lessen here.  A vehicle is the worst investment you can have.  A vehicle depreciates from the first day you drive it off the lot.  You have to know when you buy a vehicle you are loosing money from the get.  Not only does the car depreciate from day one, but if you finance it you have to pay the finance charge for those 5 years you spend paying for it.  You basically throw away a lot of money.  Now if people all knew this and did the smart thing - they would buy a car and plan on keeping it as long as they could.  If you could just go 2 years without a car payment - how much money could you save?  usually around $8000.00 on the low side!

Car Seat Covers - Sheepskin Is a Wise Choice!

After the man in the Cadillac drove off I never stopped thinking about how good those Sheepskin seats felt.  I looked and looked locally for somebody that sold them. I couldn't find any anywhere.  In fact most people I asked about them acted like - Why in the would would you want Sheepskin Seat Covers?  They just didn't know!  If people knew how Sheepskin feels - Everybody would want a set for there car or truck!!

Home Business Step 1 my business is Sheepskin you can do Anyrthing

Well its time I started my series on starting your own business like I did.  Im going to go through the good and the bad.  There are all kinds of businesses you can go into so start by thinking about things you are good at, hobbies, past jobs ect.  If you are like me then you can't think of a thing!! I was totally stumped!  I just felt like giving up.  I fish, boat a little, I like guns, but I didn't feel like I knew enough enough any of it to make a business out of it.  Then I learned about the massive amount of people on the internet and better than that I started to think about how many people there are out there buying everyday !!  I started feeling like I could find a product somewhere and make a online business work :)   I just didn't know how much work I had ahead of me!  Tomorrow Ill start going through the process you need to go through to do the same thing Im doing.  Ive paid close to $10,000 for all the information Im going to give here in this blog. Seat Car Covers - How to get the best deal on Sheepskin seat covers

So you are looking for someSeat Car Covers - Seat Sheepskin Covers for your vehicle.  Here is a list of just a few things you can count on when it comes to Seat sheepskin covers.

• They will make your seats last much longer
• If you ever decide to sell or trade your vehicle. Sheepskin covers will add value to your vehicle.

When you go to buy your seat sheepskin covers here are a few things you may want to consider.

• How thick do you want the fleece to be ?  Deluxe is the thickest but the most expensive - Standard is in the shortest and is middle priced & Mosaic is usually the cheapest, but is the same thickness as the deluxe..
• Do you want all sheepskin or super fit ? All sheepskin has the leather on the sides and back of the seats. It will save you a lot of money if you choose the super fit. They have a different material on the sides and back.
• Do you need tailor made covers ?  If you have integrated seat belts into your seats or if you have  built in armrest you will usually have to get tailor made. If your seats are odd shaped or really thick then you may have to have them tailor made.

It is my opinion - if you want the best price for the best quality, go with the Mosaic sheepskin covers. Even if you have to have them tailor made they will still be affordable. The mosaic has a pattern that looks super nice plus gives the seas a luxurious look. Always remember the mosaic is made up of the Deluxe quality sheepskin. These are my personal favorite for quality and price.

If you prefer a shorter fleece then you need to go with the standard sheepskin. Most of the time you can't get a bench seat done with the standard, but bucket seats are not a problem.

If price isn't a problem then go with the all sheepskin seats. These are good for show cars where this may count towards more points for your car.

Seat car covers - I was tired of spending money

I was tired of spending money on things like seat car covers that didn't look good or last very long.  I don't mind spending money on something that will last and look good though.  I thought that maybe the car dealership may have some seat covers that would fit my truck correctly.  I called the local dealership and was surprised that they only sold replacement seat covers. This is where you remove your original cover down to the bare seat and replace it with a exact duplicate.  Well I guess this would work, but the work involved would really be to much just to protect my seats with the same thing.  And guess how much they cost.  Just for the front bucket seats the price was over $2500.00 !!!!  WOW thats a lot of money for some material.  I don't know about you but this is ridiculous.  So I was lost at what to do.  I couldn't go to a store and buy any covers that fit correctly and I couldn't afford the OEM replacement covers. Anyway my covers didn't need replacing they needed protecting.  So in the mean time I just left the store bought covers on the seats while I looked for a better solution.  Sometimes it pays to be patient :)

Got the Mustang back and WOW !!

Rick at Front Line Designs in Darlington SC did a great job on the Mustang.  When we looked at this car on the lot we thought wow that is a sharp lookin car.  Of course time we got it home we started thinking it sure would look better with tinted windows.  Then we thought wow it sure would look good with some racing stripes.  This grew into getting the Mustang down the side.  Now I sure would like to find some white letter tires pretty cheap :)

Im going to go ahead and put some sheepskin covers on the seats.  This will really give the interior some WOW :)

Seat Car Covers - Pictures where the covers fit incorrectly

Ok here are the seat covers that I purchased for my truck.  My truck has the seat belts built into the seat.  I didn't know at the time that this causes a automatic need for Tailor Made Seat Covers.  Also I have arm rest that are integrated into the seats.  As you can see - even though the seat covers have a place for the seat belt to go through. The seat belts have torn the seat covers up in a very short amount of time.  Also check out the arm rest on the passenger seat. These seat covers have a zipper on the arm rest side that you can zip up if you don't want to use your arm rest.  I love my arm rest so I have to keep them zipped down.  This really looks terrible.  I was so miserable with the way these covers looked, but I didn't know what to do.

Waiting for the Mustang to be completed

Well we are anxiously waiting for the transformation of the Mustang.  We took it to Rick at Front Line Design last night. We spent about a hour picking out the striping color and style.  We went with a bold strip down the side of the car with Mustang written in the middle.  We also opted on the double racing strip placed close together with a outline pin strip.  The color ended up being a metal flake silver.  We also got the windows tented.  The Stang should really look like a new car when we get it back.  I will post pictures tonight when we get it back :)  Im still working on all the seat sheepskin covers business.  If you are interested at all in getting the benefits of sheepskin for your seat car covers just let me know.  I will take care of you and any of your car cover needs.

seat sheepskin covers - Got side stepped today

Well I know I said that next I would put up some pictures of some seat covers that do not fit correctly, but today I got sidetracked.  I bought a 2008 Mustang and had to get it ready to do some striping.  I buffed it out today to get it nice and clean. Tonight I took it to a friend of mine Rick Gaskins owner of Front Line Designs in Hartsville SC.  He is going to tent the windows and put the racing stripes on it. :)  I just got back and decided to throw this in here tonight.  Ill pick back up on the seat covers tomorrow.  Maybe Ill even get some sheepskin car seat covers for the car :)

Seat Car Covers - How to find the right car seat covers

The first mistake I made trying to find Seat Car Covers was going to a store. I went all around, looking at the local discount retailers as well as hardware stores. I finally went to Autozone and found some covers that stated that they fit my Full Size GMC Truck.

• I thought WOW these are great and under $100 dollars !!
• Happily I paid for these great seat car covers.
• I got home with A smile on my face :)
• Immediately I started putting my seat car covers on my seats.

Now here is where I started running into problems :(  Finding seat car covers for your car can be difficult if you are not careful.

1. Remember just about all vehicles have different kinds of seats.
2. If you try a one size fits all solution - unless you are very very lucky they will not fit properly.
   
3. Lets be realistic about the material these store bought seats are made from. They will protect for a while but will tear and wear much quicker than a quality cover.
   
4. Even if you go with the cheap store bought covers you will pay more because they will have to be replaced on a regular bases.

Next I will show you picture proof of why the one size fits all solution can be a big mistake.
